## How to Set It Up

### Step 1: Install the Extension

Mass.Downloader isn't on the Chrome Web Store — it was removed due to platform policies, which is common for this type of tool. You download the ZIP file from [hotfansdownload.com](https://www.hotfansdownload.com), extract it, and load it manually.

Here's how:
1. Go to `chrome://extensions` in your browser
2. Toggle on **Developer mode** (top right corner)
3. Click **Load unpacked**
4. Select the extracted folder

The extension icon will appear in your toolbar.

### Step 2: Log Into OnlyFans

Open OnlyFans in the same browser and make sure you're logged in. The extension reads your active session — it doesn't ask for your password or store your credentials.

### Step 3: Open the Extension and Choose What to Download

Click the extension icon. You'll see your subscribed creators listed. Select one (or all), pick your content source — Posts, Purchased, or Chats — and hit download.

## Tips for Large Downloads

**Turn off "Package downloaded files" for big libraries.** The default setting bundles everything into a ZIP, which works fine for small batches. **Use Fast Scan once you've done an initial backup.** Full Scan checks every post from the beginning. Fast Scan only picks up new content since your last download. After you've archived everything once, Fast Scan is what you'll use going forward.

**Downloads can be paused and resumed.** OnlyFans session tokens expire after a while — that's just how the platform works. If a download stalls halfway through, hit Resume. You don't have to start over.

**Will OnlyFans know I'm downloading?**

## I purchase Pro plan. How can I confirm that it is Pro?

Both on pages for fetching media list and downloading media, there is a tag indicating whether the current version is "Pro" or "Free".

The free version only allows downloading 10 photos and 2 videos. The pro version can download up to 10,000 photos per download task. If you have more than 10,000 photos, you can use incremental download multiple times to complete the download of all media.

Second way to confirm that is you could find an "unsubscribe" button on the pro page.  As shown below, once you get subscribed, the "Subscribe" button will be replaced by "Unsubscribe" button which guides you to the unsubscribe page.

## Three options of download from

Before starting the download, you need to choose where to get the media list from. There are two options: "posts" and "purchased." Below, we will explain their differences in detail.

## Downloading from posts

Downloading from "posts" is relatively easy to understand. It means downloading the media from posts that a specified creator has previously published.

## Downloading from purchased

Downloading from "purchased" refers to bulk downloading all the media you have previously bought. This media could have been purchased from posts or during chats with the creator.

Unlike subscriptions, when a subscription expires, you can no longer view the creator's posts. However, the media you purchased remains in your purchased list.

If you purchased media during a chat with the creator and later cleared the chat history, don’t worry. You can still find it in your purchased list.

## Downloading from chats

Downloading from "chats" refers to the process of retrieving all the media sent from creators. Not only can you download photos and videos from chats, but you can also download audio files.

## What is Incremental Download?

Firstly let explain full download. Full download will scan all posts and download all the photos and videos involved in those posts. However, incremental download will only add the medias that have not been previously downloaded to the download list.

## Full Scan and Fast Scan

In incremental download, there are two scanning modes: full scan and fast scan. Full scan will scan all the posts of the creator, while fast scan will only scan the posts that have not been previously scanned.

## Why We need Incremental Download?

Full download is used for target creator accounts that have not been archived before. After that, full download is no longer necessary. By performing incremental downloads periodically, you can ensure that the locally saved content stays synchronized with the online media. In incremental download, using fast scan is faster compared to full scan.

We recommend using full scan whenever possible. Let's consider a scenario: in the previous download, you only downloaded photos, but this time you want to download the latest photos as well as videos. By choosing full scan, not only can you obtain the latest medias, but you can also retrieve the videos that were not downloaded in the previous session.

Before downloading, checking the "incremental download" checkbox will enable the use of incremental download.

## What is the problem

According to some users' reports, when opening the plugin, an infinite login situation occurs.

## Description of problem

According to his description, after clicking the Google login button, a Google third-party login window appears. After entering the Google account, the third-party login is successful, and the login window closes. However, when opening the plugin again, it still prompts for the need to log in with Google.

## Debug the problem

After debugging, we discovered that the issue lies in the fact that after logging in with Google, the plugin's popup should be open. In this scenario, however, the popup page of the plugin is closed. Consequently, this leads to an infinite login situation because the plugin detects a successful Google login and displays the dashboard button while the popup is closed.
This issue occurs on a small number of users' computers and appears to be specifically related to the user's region. Currently, there is no good solution available, but there is a workaround.

## Solution

Once the popup window appears, right-click and hover over the "Google login" button .

Click on the menu that appears and select the "Inspect" option. This will open the developer debugging mode, and a debug window will pop up at the bottom.

At this point, click on the "Google login" button again and complete the login process. This workaround leverages the fact that the debug window remains open, allowing for a successful login.

Mass Downloader will remember the login state, so there is no need to log in again the next time.

## What is problem with large download job?

When downloading a large number of media files, it is common to experience freezing or getting stuck, indicated by the progress bar staying at a certain percentage without further progress. This typically suggests a failed download of a particular media file, causing the download process to halt.

## Why?

There are various reasons for download failures, such as unstable network connections or the computer entering sleep mode.

In the case of OnlyFans, each media file is associated with a unique token that is required to initiate the download from the current IP address. These tokens periodically change and are matched with the IP address at that time. During a large download job, if the token is updated, it can result in a download failure. Additionally, if you are connected to a cellular network, unlike office or home broadband networks where IP addresses remain relatively stable, the IP address on a cellular network can easily change, causing the token to become invalid and leading to download failures.

Furthermore, the OnlyFans website itself may experience instability, which can often result in the inability to browse media.

## Our Solution
Fortunately, we have developed a resumable download feature. When getting stuck, it allows us to resume the download from the point where it left off, without having to re-download the media that was already completed in the previous attempt.

When on the download page, if you notice that the progress bar is not updating for an extended period, you can click the 'Get Stuck' button to return to the home page.

## One More Benefit

This functionality can also be used for pausing and resuming downloads. Suppose you need to shut down your computer to attend to something else while a download is still in progress. In that case, you can pause the task and resume it when you're ready to continue downloading.

## What is problem with downloading 50+ videos?

When downloading using the plugin, by default, all videos and images are downloaded and compressed into a single file. When attempting to download more than 50 videos at once, it's highly likely to exceed the available memory of the browser, resulting in a failed download.

## Our quick solution:

We just work out a temporary solution by providing a toggle switch for the option of downloading and package files as one zip file. When the "package the downloaded files" setting is turned off, the plugin will download the files one by one.

Even with this solution, it cannot guarantee smooth downloading of hundreds of videos at once. We design additional features such as on-demand downloading and automatic resuming of downloads from incomplete files.
